5th plenary of the EU Bangladesh Business Climate Dialogue

The 5th plenary of the EU Bangladesh Business Climate Dialogue was held on 28 April 2019 at the Ministry of Commerce, Bangladesh Secretariat, Dhaka. It was co-chaired by the Commerce Secretary Mr. Md. Mofizul Islam of the Government of Bangladesh side and the EU Ambassador, Ms. Rensje Teerink on the EU side. Hon’ble Commerce Minister Mr. Tipu Munshi. M.P. was present in the Dialogue as chief guest. The Dialogue was attended by senior officials from concerned Government authorities including Ministry of Commerce. Bangladesh Investment Development Authority/ (BIDA). National Board of Revenue (NBR). Bangladesh Bank (BB) and Director General of Drug Administration (DGDA) as well as the EU Member States Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Dhaka together with representatives from the EU private sector.

Achievements:
SBCCI and Spain Embassy along with the relevant Spanish companies actively participated in the 5th EUBC addressing the necessary issues in tax regime with NBR.
